After a three or four month hiatus from posting (and basically from writing), I'm jumping back into it with a splash of color on my journal and lots of ideas in my head. Okay, I'm so close to the end of Gallery of Lies I can taste it! I've only got one goal this week but it's a biggie.

1) Revise chapters 13, 14, 15, and 16 so I can type THE END! (That's FOUR chapters...I think I can, I think I can...)

Okay, this is a little late making it to my journal, but these are the goals I posted on the DSRA loop for the week.  I've decided that from now on, I'll post them here as well, so I can go in and strike them out as I finish them.  That's a nice feeling.  :)

This week was my birthday, which was great fun.  :)  Thanks to all the Yetis who went to the movie with me.  You guys are great...even Yetis who didn't come to the movie are great.  :)

I felt it necessary to make a post.  I've been busy with writing, and I've been productive!  Here's a list of new developments:

• Gallery of Lies is revised up through the end of chapter five, approximately page 80.  It will require more revision, but I have that many pages ready to show to people at least.

So, on March 24th, I posted a little brag about being 12% done with revisions for Gallery of Lies.  What did I get for bragging?  I accidentally saved over said revisions and lost them forever.  The good news--I've now re-worked all/most of that material again, and am back up to being almost 12% done with revisions.  Disclaimer:  This is not a brag ( Read more... )

I distinctly remember revising several scenes of Gallery of Lies a while back.  I know I re-wrote a particular scene that's been on my mind.  I KNOW I did.  I sat on my bed and typed it on my laptop.  I've searched all the files on the laptop, both flashsticks, and the destop.  I must have saved over it because it's gone.  After three days of ( Read more... )

So I did make a spreadsheet to track my progress on revising Gallery of Lies.  That sounds more impressive than it is.  Actually, I did a "save as" on an excel template and filled in the blanks.  It's pretty cool though, because it tells me things like total hours spent writing, daily words per hour, average words per hour, etc.  The best thing ( Read more... )
